Our Community Dimension

We are passionate in our belief that young people do their best when the school and parents work closely together. Parents’ views are important to us. Our ‘Parents4Learning’ project enables you to become in involved in shaping the education we provide at Harrow High.

Being a sports college enables us to extend our facilities to connect with our community. Open from 7.30am for early morning basketball training to 10.00pm, our school provides extended services to young people, their families and local community groups, organisations and clubs. We pride ourselves on being a school within the community, for the community.

Our teaching staff in PE and Science regularly share their expertise with link middle schools and frequent opportunities for younger learners exist to access the outstanding facilities in the school. All learners at key stage 3 participate in weekly PE activities at Harrow School and benefit from access to first class facilities. We are also proud of our relationship with Harrow School and are partners in the ‘Building Bridges’ initiative.

Our unique atmosphere combines the historic with the modern. Harrow High School and Sports College is privileged to receive the patronage of the ‘Old Gaytonian Society’, old boys and teachers of the school who generously support us.

The Governing Body at Harrow High School and Sports College actively engage with community partners and parents, ensuring the school achieves its goals.
