Education: Teaching & Learning

Passionate about life-long learning

Learners join a tutor group and a high level of pastoral and academic support is provided to ensure success. Teaching is organised into six 50 minute lessons per day.  We set in English, Mathematics and Science from entry to facilitate rapid progress in learning.  It is an expectation that all young people learn beyond the classroom which will include completing homework and other research projects.Teachers are constantly reviewing and designing innovative resources to stretch and motivate learners. Having dedicated staff providing advice and guidance in the Study Centre on a full time basis means that learners access a high level of deep support for learning

Harrow High School and Sports College is part of the Harrow Sixth Form Collegiate. Our sixth form provides the highest quality post-16 education within an environment that is familiar and supportive.  Having sole access to their own Study Centre that is equipped with ICT facilities, each individual can access a range of resources.  Working in partnership with other local providers ensures that we can offer a diverse yet balanced curriculum in our sixth form.
