Both the boys and girls performed incredibly well on Thursday 2nd February 2012.
Our KS3 girls team competed in the borough tournament and finished 2nd only losing to Rooks Heath by 1 point. Considering that this was a KS3 tournament and our girls consist of Year 7s plus only two Year 9s, we should be very proud of this result.
A special mention has been asked to go out to Katherine Boachie-Yiadom for her outstanding leadership, Abi Banfield for her high scoring and Suhur Hassan for tenacious rebounding.
Our boys played at home last night to Aylesbury Grammar. If you want to see an outstanding display of long range shooting, watch the highlights!!

Also, check out the highlights from the HHS Vs Paddington Academy U16 game on Tuesday 1st November.
Paddington Academy invited HHS to their home court to play an U16 basketball game. Paddington Academy had experienced some basketball success in West London and had heard about HHS’ reputation within the sport.
On Tuesday 1st November, Paddington Academy had a sports hall packed with students and teachers. The atmosphere was very challenging for HHS; mental toughness was going to be the key to performing well on the day.
Paddington Academy scored the first basket of the game which caused their home crowd to erupt with excitement. The noise and the distractions did not phase HHS as they closed out the first half with a 40 – 16 lead. Justas Muzikevicius dominated areas close to the basket and Paddington Academy could not stop the pace and execution from Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye, Chike Dale, Warren Parkinson and Khani Marius. HHS continued to play their tenacious defence and Paddington Academy struggled to bring the ball safely across the half way line.
Final score:
Paddington Academy 35
Harrow High 62

Dwayne gains International playing experience
Congratulations to Dwayne who is currently representing both England’s U15 and U16 National basketball team. Dwayne is the only player competing for both age groups. The England teams are preparing for the European Championships. Dwayne has recently been abroad with the U15s to compete in a tournament in Denmark and will be flying to Holland next week with the U16s.
“This experience will not only challenge his on court ability; it builds character. I am very proud that Dwayne is now competing at this level. He must now continue to push himself without getting complacent” said Coach Gary Maitland.
