What do our Positive Contribution Coaches have to say?
Gary Maitland
“I’m excited about the exceptional opportunity of being a ‘Positive Contribution Coach’ (PCC) and working with the young people in the school because when I was at Harrow High School I loved break and lunch periods. This was the time I could socialise with my peers and we competed with each other, wanting to be the best. Looking back, I recognise that the recreational activities and sport we played taught me about leadership, positive assertiveness and how to manage my relationships effectively. I believe social time is very important and allows young people to express themselves and learn many skills that they can use right across their curriculum. Developing successful relationships; learning about your own and others strengths and transferring these skills and qualities to all aspects of learning, is the key to success. My job is to inspire our learners to achieve their goals – and I love it!’
