On Wednesday 8th November, the year 7 football team were crowned borough champions after winning the second borough tournament of the year.
After a disappointing first competition, which saw Harrow High School lose on penalties to Park High in the final, the boys put that behind them to win the tournament convincingly. In the group stages, Harrow High School were unbeaten, winning three and drawing one, moving them to the quarter finals in first place in group C.
A convincing 4-0 win in the quarter finals was followed by a hard-fought 1-0 win in the semi-final with the goal of the tournament coming from Omari Benjamin. Harrow High School moved onto the final looking to win their first borough championships and got off to a great start, with Rio Agyeman scoring early on. Hatch End then piled on the pressure, but could not break down the resolute defence of Harrow High. The final whistle went and Harrow High were crowned champions, without conceding a goal all tournament.
A special thanks to manager Jack Doyle (Year 12) and assistant manager Saian Patel (Year 12) for their leadership skills and well done to the whole team.
