DfE and ALPS acknowledge excellent progress in our Sixth Form

Harrow High School is delighted to announce that our DfE A-Level Progress Score for 2018 is +0.26. This places us 236th out of 4434 Sixth Forms in the country, putting us in the top 5% (5.32% to be exact!) of Sixth Forms in the UK. This is a fantastic achievement from our learners, and has resulted in our “Class of 2018” being successful in winning places at some of the most prestigious universities in the country.

Earlier in the month we also received news that based on an average of the last 3 years’ (2016– 2018) A-Level results, we have been placed in the top 15% of Sixth Forms in the country for A-Level progress.

Mr Gamble (Headteacher) said: “We are very proud of the sustained improvement in our Sixth Form, and thank our staff and governors for their continued, and unwavering dedication towards improving the life chances of our learners. Our central school belief is ‘Excellence for All’ and this news shows how our learners, and staff reflect this belief every day. Nothing is more important than excellent teaching and learning for learner progress, and our learners are very lucky to have some of the best teachers in London teaching them.”

Mr Patel (Head of Sixth Form) said: “I wish to congratulate our learners who have worked so hard on their studies over their time in the school, I am incredibly proud of the phenomenal achievements they have made in their A-Levels. Our Sixth Form is going from strength to strength, and I am confident that our current Sixth Form learners, who benefit from expert teaching from talented staff, small class sizes, and excellent careers guidance, will continue the Sixth Forms track record of achieving excellent results and move onto prestigious Russell group universities.”
