GCSE, GCE A level and BTEC Grade calculations
As you will be aware, Ofqual and UCAS have issued guidance to schools today regarding how grades for the cancelled summer 2020 exams will be calculated. The relevant links to the Ofqual and UCAS guidance given to schools, students, parents and carers are all listed below.
There is a lot of information to digest here and the school will take the Easter holidays to fully review the information and prepare our procedures for school submitted grades and evidence requirements in line with this guidance. When this is completed, we will share this with you. We hope to do this during the week beginning 20th April. Until that time, please refrain from contacting the school or individual teachers with queries about this process.
At present, there have been no announcements regarding Level 3 BTEC qualifications, so we ask students on those courses to continue working on their assignments, and submitting coursework set by their teachers. It is now also very unlikely that Year 10 students will receive their grades for GCSE exams they would have sat this summer. They will have the opportunity to sit these exams in Year 11, and we will communicate how the school will support students to do this as soon as we can.

We do understand how stressful and unsettling this must be for learners and parents. These are unchartered waters for all of us. Please be assured we will be working hard to ensure we get this right and all learners are treated fairly.
